Themed-cruise specialists StarVista Live have announced a new music voyage for fans of southern rock and roll, boasting a lineup that includes Lynyrd Skynyrd and other iconic acts.
The Southern Rock Cruise will set sail on Jan. 20, 2018 for a journey through the Caribbean with stops in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands. The five-day cruise on Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas will then return to Tampa on Jan. 25.
Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform during a shore excursion in Jamaica on Jan. 22, and other southern rock acts will perform on the ship throughout the voyage. Some of the other bands scheduled to perform include 38 Special, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, Atlanta Rhythm Section and more.
In addition to listening to some of the greatest bands in rock and roll history, passengers will be treated to Q & A sessions and panel discussions with band members, guitar lessons from legends in the business and behind-the-scenes conversations about the recording of classic albums.

The fun won't stop there, as passengers will be treated to bourbon tastings, cooking demonstrations, karaoke and poker tournaments. Add in the sights of the Caribbean, and this is the ideal cruise for people who love southern rock and the accompanying lifestyle.
This is not the first southern rock-inspired cruise, though, as Lynyrd Skynyrd hosted their own Simple Man Cruise for eight years, ending in 2014. While the cruise lived on as the Outlaw Country Cruise, the lineup for this Southern Rock Cruise is second to none.
