Officials from tour and cruise operator Tauck have announced that three of the company’s long-time employees will share duties as the ms Joy’s godmothers during its christening ceremony.

The ceremony will take place in Vienna on June 21.

Tauck revealed that the godmothers for the river cruising ship will be Jacque Moran (Recruiting and Training Manager, Tauck Director Operations), Mary Murrin (North America Account Manager, Tauck River Cruising) and Kristin Robinson (Tauck Director Manager, Tauck River Cruising).

“On over 100 land and cruise itineraries, in more than 70 countries and on all seven continents, our Tauck Directors are the face of our company,” Tauck CEO Dan Mahar said in a statement. “They are the critical link between the meticulous care and planning we put into every one of our tours and cruises, and the actual experiences our guests enjoy. By honoring Jacque, Mary and Kristin, we’re honoring all of our Tauck Directors around the world.”

Mahar noted that all three women were former Tauck directors, and that the company’s managerial ranks are filled with many former directors in addition to the three godmothers selected.

The godmothers announcement is special because of the growth from the company, as the ms Joy will be the ninth European riverboat in the Tauck fleet. The addition of another ship is part of a 125 percent growth of the company’s fleet over the last two years.
