For those looking to sail into springtime, a theme cruise may just be what the doctor ordered to spice things up a bit more than a regular voyage. After all, UnCruise Adventures recently announced it will feature wellness on a number of its theme sailings in Alaska in April.
Theme cruises extend to seemingly every imaginable topic, and a great resource to find them all is Theme Cruise Finder, and here is a sample of some other fun ones coming in March, April and May.
Country, Polk and Soul Music
We usually focus on rock or jazz music theme cruises, but there are those for country music fans as well. Tim McGraw, for instance, will be featured on Carnival Cruise Line as part of its Carnival LIVE programming on March 2, 2017 aboard the Carnival Valor, and also joining the lineup will be Little Big Town on May 7 and 11, 2017 on the Carnival Dream and Carnival Valor respectively.
The fifth annual Soul Train Cruise is also set to embark on March 4, 2017 with bands like Kool & The Gang, Chaka Khan and the Commodores along for the ride on Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Summit.
There's even a Polka Dreams @ Sea cruise scheduled to depart on Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Pride on April 2, 2017 showcasing Ray Jay of Ray Jay and the Carousels and The Buffalo Concertina All-Stars.
Culinary
Luxury line Seabourn is preparing a couple culinary cruises in the way of its signature Seabourn Cruises Epicurean Quest Food & Wine Voyage with Chef Daniel Sherlock and World Wine Guys aboard Seabourn Quest on April 15, 2017. Plus, Chef Darren McGrady will be on the Seabourn Sojourn on April 23, 2017.
Also, Royal Caribbean International will present a Country Cooking Cruise on its Oasis of the Seas embarking on May 21, 2017. Personalities onboard will be Francine Roberts Bryson, Tiffany Harelik, The Chef & The Fatman, Eddie Jackson and more.
Sports
Royal Caribbean International will be home to sports fans on several spring theme sailings beginning with the Pro Football Hall of Fame Cruise aboard Independence of the Seas on March 2, 2017 with James Lofton, Dan Hampton and Randall McDaniel. Then on March 30, 2017, the Brilliance of the Seas will host the Legends of Pittsburgh cruise with Mean Joe Greene, Rocky Bleier, Casey Hampton, Ryan Clark and Charlie Batch. Lastly on May 4, 2017 will be the Clemson Fan Cruise / Sea of Orange Cruise on the Oasis of the Seas.
