The Latest Sailing Ship Journeys from Star Clippers and Windstar Cruises

Star Clippers is already looking ahead until 2018 with its latest brochure and upcoming itineraries, including exciting inaugural visits to Indonesia in 2017. Its new Sailing Collection brochure outlines what’s next for the lines fleet of three ships, from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean.
Come the summer of 2017, Indonesia will be featured on seven- to 11-night voyages. Weeklong roundtrips from Bali will have the Star Clipper visit Lombok, Komodo and Java islands and start at $1,360 per person. Diving opportunities will also be available here and the Far East for the first time.
Meanwhile, the Royal Clipper and Star Flyer will be in the Mediterranean next summer with itineraries such as seven-night roundtrips from Venice beginning at $1,650 per person. Stops include the Greek Isles, French and Spanish coasts and the countries of Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia.

As for the Far East, Star Clipper will head to its Phuket homeport in the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 winters in Thailand and Malaysia for weeklong northbound and southbound roundtrip cruises.
Also not forgotten is the Caribbean. In the winter season, Royal Clipper will embark roundtrip from Barbados, alternating between the Spice Islands of the Grenadines and the Windward Islands. Exotic ports will include Basseterre, Falmouth Harbour and Terre de Haut. In the spring, there is also a 14-night ABC (Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire) Island cruise onboard.
The Star Flyer will additionally set out from St. Maarten, heading across the Anegada Passage to the Treasure Islands like British Virgin Islands and St. Barts.
Windstar Cruises’ sailing ships and motor yachts are ready to sail to Europe in 2017 on over 120 voyages across 22 different itineraries from May to November.
Two new itineraries will visit Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro: Quintessential Croatia and Marvels of the Croatian Coast & Greece. The former is an eight-day voyage on Wind Star roundtrip from Venice, Italy. The Adriatic adventure will feature the likes of Plitvice Lakes National Park and the Old Town of Dubrovnik, as well as the ports of Opatija, Korcula, Zadar and Piran.
The latter is a longer 12-day sailing going from Venice to Athens, also on the Wind Star, highlighting no fewer than 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites along the way, the most ever by Windstar. The line says the itinerary will feature, “Italian pasta, Croatian seafood, and mezze delights from Greece.”
Elsewhere in Europe for 2017, itineraries to look forward to include Wind Surf for 7-days along the Riviera roundtrip from Rome to the likes of Monte Carlo for the famed Grand Casino and jaunts to the Baltic and Scandinavia.
Wind Surf for 10 days goes from Stockholm to Copenhagen, and vice versa, with stops such as an overnight in St. Petersburg, Russia, and for 11 days heads from Edinburgh to Stockholm, or reverse, making calls for Berlin, Oslo and Copenhagen, where the vessel will overnight as well.
