Tips for Cruising From a Travel Agent Pro

Travel agent and cruise pro Christine Brown of Expedia Cruise Ship Centers just won the Rising Star award from CLIA and now she is sharing some of her expert advice with Vegas Inc.
Of course she recommends using a travel agent but that’s not all. Brown gives a few pieces of advice as well, starting with letting your agent know what you want to get out of your vacation.
“What do you think your cruise will be like, look like, where it will go. This will help them match you with the right cruise line and itinerary,” she tells Vegas Inc.
Brown’s practical advice includes what to take with you on the big day.
“On the day of embarkation, pack a carry-on with cruise boarding passes, passports, any prescription medications, a change of clothes and bathing suit,” she notes.
She also suggests getting to know your bearings right away.
“Take time to explore the ship when you first get on and closely plan your days with the nightly newsletter placed in your stateroom (bring a highlighter to mark it),” she suggests.
Looking for great deals, she touches on that as well.
“When the ship is in port, there are some great deals that can be found at the onboard spa,” she says.
While these are some of her tips for having the best cruise possible, she also talks about the modern role of travel agents, her favorite destinations and more here.
