Holland America Line continues to whet our appetites for its new Koningsdam with preview videos, and a new series now features “Conversations with Adam D. Tihany.” Tihany is the hospitality designer behind the forthcoming cruise ship’s spaces and what he describes as the “Architecture of Music.”

“Koningsdam interiors are stunning, thanks to Adam’s incredible talents, and this video series is an exclusive opportunity to learn how this world-renowned hospitality designer created a vision for our newest ship and brought it to life,” said Orlando Ashford, president of Holland America Line. “We’re introducing several new venues on Koningsdam, and Adam’s signature style of sophistication and innovation is going to create an impressive onboard ambiance for our guests — classic with a modern twist.”

The first video, hosted at my Popular Cruising YouTube channel and embedded below, focuses on how the curves of musical instruments influenced the design in a narrative fashion. Stay tuned also for the next video which will showcase Koningsdam’s culinary venues including the Dining Room, Lido Marketplace, Pinnacle Grill, Sel de Mer and Dinner at the Culinary Arts Center.
