There’s something special about seeing a ship under final construction set sail for the first time, as the lifeless steel structure is born as a maritime vessel, particularly when its the largest cruise ship in the world – Royal Caribbean International’s new Harmony of the Seas. The line has released a couple more preview videos and still photos showing off the ship as it nears completion and embarks on its initial sea trials, when the ship is put through its paces to test its systems and seaworthiness.
The Harmony of the Seas will officially launch in May 2016. In the meantime, you can check out the last construction videos for yourself, hosted at my Popular Cruising YouTube channel and embedded below, along with a sea trials slideshow.
