Windstar Cruises is offering three free shore excursions and 50 percent savings on sailings in Greece and Turkey this summer.
The promotion is available on four seven- and nine-day itineraries — “Greek Isles & Turkish Delights,” “Gems of the Aegean,” “Black Sea Tapestry,” and “Venetian Passageways.” Fares start at $2,999 per person, double occupancy.
The cruises are operated by the 148-passenger motor-sail vessel Wind Star and two 212-guest “power yachts," Star Breeze and Star Pride.
Complimentary shore excursions include a four-hour outing beginning in the Old Quarter of Varna, Bulgaria. A scenic drive takes guests to the Aladja Monastery, declared a national monument of culture, where guests taste Bulgarian wines with a professional sommelier.
In Katakalon, Greece, a half-day experience includes a tour of the Ancient Olympia site and museum, including the ruins of the Temple of Zeus, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
All voyages also feature Windstar’s Private Events, an exclusive onshore experience hosted once on all sailings. These complimentary events are crafted to give guests an in-depth local experience. For example, the Private Event during the “Gems of the Aegean” itinerary is an after-hours tour of the Celsus Library of Ephesus paired with a five-course meal under the stars in the courtyard with music by a trio from the Aegean Chamber Orchestra.
