Rhossili Bay Beach in Wales has beat out beaches in Greece, Spain and many other European destinations.
It has now been named the 'best beach in Europe' by Suitcase Magazine.
The bay, located near Swansea on the Gower Peninsula, is the only European beach on the list of top 10 beaches in the world, including those stunning white sandy crescents such as the Philippines' Pamalican, Boca del Toro in Panama and Tikehau Island in French Polynesia.
Adrian Short, who runs the local Worm's Head Hotel, told The Independent: "It's an outstanding bay. It's not the first time it's been mentioned; it's become a figurehead location for Wales."
Indeed, Rhossili Bay Beach has graced lists in more regional publications, being recognized as one of the UK's top 10 beaches as well as Wales' best beach during 2017.
It is made up of three miles of sandy shoreline and encompasses the famous Welsh landmark, Worms Head-a small tidal island located at the southern end of the bay. It was the first Area of Outstanding Beauty in the U.K., and many people travel there for adventurous pursuits such as surfing or its fine sand for sandcastle building.
As you stroll along the shore, keep an eye out for seals and dolphins, who also come to enjoy the bay's bounty.

With global recognition, Rhossili Bay Beach is sure to gain more notoriety. Still, it remains hard to access.
Getting to the shoreline means climbing down steps from the small town of Rhossili. For those who make the trek down-and, presumably, back up-the views are definitely worth the work.
There's also not much in the way of nearby accommodation. However, the aforementioned Worms Head Hotel offers stunning views, a variety of rooms and a family-run cozy atmosphere.
