The annual Bahamas Summer Boating Fling is gearing up to kick off next month with the first tour stopping in picturesque Bimini.
The Summer Boating Fling gathers scores of boaters to tour the pristine turquoise waters of The Bahamas.
This year’s tour kicks off with a captains meeting at the Bahia Mar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Wednesday, June 1 at 6:30 p.m.
The meetings will be held every Wednesday before each fling. Then the fling will depart to the islands of the Bahamas very early every Thursday morning.
Richard Treco, senior manager of sales and marketing in the Ministry of Tourism, will host the meetings and answer any questions.
The Bahamas Summer Boating Fling, which has been going on for more than 20 years, is the Bahamian equivalent of a road trip.
It is a prime way for boaters to sail the waters of The Bahamas together with a lead boat piloting the way across the Gulf Stream to The Bahamas.
The Bahamas, made up of 100,000 square miles of land and sea, 7,000 islands and 2,000 rocks and cays, is perfect for boaters.
With miles and miles of coral providing tranquil sailing waters, The Bahamas is a haven for boaters seeking adventure.
The Summer Flings begin on Thursdays. Wednesdays are mandatory captains meetings. Trips end on Sundays during June and July.
