Dubai drew a record number of visitors in 2015 and it's looking to keep up its momentum. Sure, the city is opening the world's largest theme park in August and it's building the world's tallest structure - the Tower at Dubai Creek Harbor - but what really was missing from the tourism landscape was a city card to help visitors enjoy the city's most iconic attractions. Now, Dubai has that, too.

The introduction of the Dubai City Card unlocks deals on attractions, activities and excursions for visitors. It not only saves travelers money, but it is a personal guide to the city as well. The pocket-sized booklet includes 20 buy-one, get-one-free vouchers to Dubai's top attractions, including the Burj Khalifa, Big Bus Tours, desert safaris and a Dhow Cruise with dinner.

"We've launched City Card Dubai as a way to get more people from the world over interested in what this great city has to offer and realize that they can score deals and have a great vacation even on a budget," said Dorota De Gregorio, City Card Dubai's general manager. "Tourism contributes more than 47 percent to Dubai's annual GDP, and the City Card Dubai team are determined to help boost visitor numbers further."

One of the major benefits to the City Card is the guidebook.

"We've carefully planned the City Card Dubai to be a complete experience that really helps visitors to our city maximize their enjoyment and experience some of the most memorable attractions Dubai has to offer. Your guidebook helps you plan your holiday, while the voucher booklet gives you spectacular deals. We've really put in a lot of effort toward attracting tourists while helping them save money," said De Gregorio.

City Cards are available for advance purchase and the guidebook and discount card can be sent to your home and according to its website, the card will save visitors more than $1,000, including $34 off of the Burj Khalifa visit, $82 off of the Arabian Nights Tours desert safari and $62 off of the Palm Jumeirah two-hour guided kayak tour.

There are two versions of the card and, right now, each one is 50 percent off. The City Card Premium includes savings on the Dubai Big Bus Tour, the dinner show cruise, the desert safari, the guided kayak tour, the Dubai heritage tour, the Dubai Museum, the wadi adventure and the four-hour fishing trip. Currently, it's $45 and good until the end of 2016.

City Card Dubai Burj Khalifa is currently $65 and includes everything that the premium card includes as well as the Burj Khalifa At the Top experience.
