For years, the popular PBS series "Thomas & Friends" has thrilled young children, but the magical world of train-inspired fun is coming to life later this summer when the Edaville USA theme park opens Thomas Land.
According to Edaville USA’s official website, the 11.5 acre lot in the wooded area of Carver, Massachusetts, will act as a perfect recreation of the Island of Sodor, the mythical land in which the "Thomas & Friends" television program takes place.
For families with children who have come to love the show and the interesting train-inspired characters, the theme park will create memorable locations such as Knapford Station and Tidmouth Sheds.
Add in 11 custom-designed themed attractions featuring characters like Cranky the Crane, Harold the Helicopter, and even a full-size Thomas the Tank Engine train ride, and this is the fully immersive experience both boys and girls will genuinely enjoy.
Thomas Land opens August 7, with a Grand Opening Celebration on August 15.
The official YouTube of Thomas & Friends shared a video of the park’s architect Ernest V. DeMaio III breaking down the goal of Thomas Land and how it was designed through the eyes of children:
The park as a whole is designed for pre-teen children, but with a plethora of additional attractions scheduled to open this summer, including go-karts, bumper boats, and a swinging pirate-ship ride, even teenagers will be able to have fun.
Admission to Thomas Land will be included in all day passes and season passes to Edaville USA, and all tickets can be purchased on the park’s website.
