Scams Give Phuket Tourism A Black Eye
Tourism minister Sutham Dechdi has called for the government to address travel-related scams in Phuket and elsewhere in Thailand. There are over 1,000 complaints per year about fake hotel reservations and tour guides who don’t deliver what they promised. There are few regulations in place to prosecute such cases.

AirBerlin will be offering 3G connectivity on its Airbus A330s. Until now, only 2.5G has been available for in-flight mobile connections. The system will need to be approved by both Boeing and Airbus before it can be widely used, so it could be quite a while before 3G becomes the norm.
