Base jumpers, urban climbers and extreme sports enthusiasts from all over the world have been flocking to Dubai to take advantage of the destination's collection of world-class skyscrapers.

Now an architecture firm wants to bring those adrenaline junkies a 1,000-foot-tall playground where they can seek thrills with less risk. The firm, 10 Design, has proposed a tower to be built at Dubai's Marina that would house multiple base jumping platforms and rock climbing walls, according to bdcnetwork.com.

The 1.1 million-square-foot complex would also feature a concert venue, residential towers and retail space for good measure.

"The form morphs between two inverse triangles from the top to bottom, creating three platforms for jumping at the upper level and three open spaces at the ground for landing," stated 10 Design via bdcnetwork.com. "The form is sculpted to create jumping platforms at 300 meters, 250 meters, and 200 meters. The ground floor is pushed out to create a large canopy."

A rendering of the project shows a colorful tower stretching into the sky.

It remains to be seen whether the tower will move forward or how much it could cost if it does but it's certainly not hard to imagine it coming to fruition.

After all, the city recently broke ground on what will soon be the world's tallest tower and has become a breeding ground for mind-blowing architecture.

In March, it was announced that the city was set to begin construction on the "Dynamic Tower," a 1,400-foot tall rotating skyscraper housing permanent residences and hotel rooms that guests could adjust the view from using only their voice.

So, if there were ever a place to build a one-of-a-kind extreme sports paradise it would be Dubai.

"Dubai has had to create an environment whereby people can come and do things they wouldn't normally otherwise do," 10 Design partner Chris Jones told CNN.

"It's part of our culture nowadays. Extreme sports and (an) adrenaline rush is a desire for a lot of people. The society and the culture and the architecture have to respond to that."

Beyond skyscrapers, Dubai is eyeing regular operation of self-flying drone taxis by this upcoming summer.
