Live-Action Zombie Apocalypse Coming to Southern California
Halloween thrill seekers now have some next-level scares in store thanks to an overnight live-action zombie apocalypse.
In Running Springs, California—about 90 minutes east of Los Angeles—visitors to Panic Mountain will spend the night trying to survive a live-action zombie apocalypse through team-based and fully interactive events.
The woods of Panic Mountain will be crawling with zombies, and to survive, groups of 12-15 will undergo group-based challenges throughout the night.
The events at Panic Mountain begin Friday, Oct. 2 and will run through Nov. 1, with overnight adventures taking place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in between. Tickets to the events also include dinner, event challenges, afterparty access and one night of cabin accommodations.
As for the specific challenges (known as mods on Panic Mountain) guests will have to endure, the events range from panic/escape room situations to obstacle courses and mazes. One of the most interesting mods features people being forced to guide each other via an earpiece through a dark room crawling with zombies.
Another entertaining event will be the aerial escape from the zombies via a 700-foot zip line that will hurl patrons through the woods in the dark of night. Before starting their adventure, patrons will get basic zombie survival training from the experts at Panic Mountain.
