New Orleans Reprises COOLinary Restaurant Month Program for 11th Year
For foodies, the Big Easy is definitely the place to be in August, when the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau reprises its COOLinary New Orleans Restaurant Month program, with great deals at 60-plus restaurants.
The program, now in its 11th year and effective from Aug. 1 to 31, offers diners two- and three-course lunch menus for $20 and under, and three-course dinner menus for $39 and under. This year, the program will also include brunch menus, with three-course meals available for $39 and under.
“New Orleans is consistently recognized for its culinary excellence, and COOLinary New Orleans invites both locals and visitors to sample world-class cuisine at some of the most historic and prestigious restaurants in the city,” said Kim Priez, senior vice president of tourism for the New Orleans CVB. “With menus representative of our unique food culture, COOLinary allows locals and visitors to get a true taste of the city.”
This year’s collection of restaurants includes such classic staples as Antoine’s and Arnaud’s. Others, such as Restaurant R’evolution, provide new interpretations on Big Easy cuisine.
Other participating restaurants American Sector, Besh Steak, Bistreaux, Bombay Club, Bourbon House, Brigtsen’s, Broussard’s, Café Adelaide, Café Degas, Café Giovanni, Capdeville, Carrolton Market, Charcoal’s Gourmet Burger Bar, Charlie’s Steak House, Chateau du Lac Bistro, Commander’s Palace, Court of Two Sisters, Crazy Lobster, Criollo, Crossroads at the House of Blues, Desire Oyster Bar, Dick & Jenny’s, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, Feelings Café, Foundation Room at the House of Blues, Fountain Lounge, Fulton Street Bistro Bar, Galatoire’s, Galatoire’s 33 Bar and Steak, GG’s Dine-O-Rama, Grill Room, GW Fins, Irish House, Johnny Sanchez, Kingfish, K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen, La Provence, LMNO, Lüke, M Bistro, Martin’s Wine Cellar, Mat & Naddie’s, Mizado Cocina, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Mr. B’s Bistro, Muriel’s, New Orleans Creole Cookery, Palace Café, The Pelican Club, Pizza Domenica, Red Gravy, Rib Room, Royal House, Rue 127, SoBou, St. Roch Market, Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar, Tableau, Tivoli and Lee and Tujague’s.
Also kicking off in August is another popular CVB program, Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown. The promotion, which runs from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, provides locals with savings on hotels, restaurants and a wide array of attractions.
