NYC & Company is inviting visitors from around the world to New York City for the 2016 annual Pride celebration, which is scheduled to take place June 19-26.
For this year's theme, the Pride celebration has dubbed the series of events "Equality Needs You," and the festivities will take place throughout the NYC's five boroughs
The Heritage of Pride organization is behind many of the successful events found at the annual Pride celebration, including the Pride Rally, VIP Rooftop Party, Teaze, the March, PrideFest and the Dance on the Pier.

The first event of the celebration is The NYC Pride Rally on June 24 at Hudson River Park's Pier 26. Other events garnering attention are the Fantasy party at The Diamond Horseshoe beneath the Paramount Hotel in Times Square on June 24, as well as the VIP Rooftop Party at Hudson Terrace on June 25.
Add in the Teaze event at Hudson River Park's Pier 26 on June 25, the March on June 26 through the streets of New York City and the PrideFest street fair on Hudson Street immediately following the March, and there are so many activities related to the LGBT community.
"As the most diverse and welcoming destination in the world, New York City embraces LGBT visitors year-round, but NYC's Pride celebration is a particularly exciting time to be in the City," NYC & Company CEO Fred Dixon said in a statement. "Whether it's in the West Village - the birthplace of the modern gay rights movement - Chelsea, Hell's Kitchen, the East Village, Williamsburg or Jackson Heights, we encourage visitors and residents to participate in the iconic and vibrant Pride events taking place throughout New York City this June and July."
