Disneyland theme park in California will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of its Pirates of the Caribbean attraction with festive food and events starting Thursday and running throughout the weekend.
According to Disney Parks' official blog, restaurants throughout Disneyland will be serving specialty dishes and drinks to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the attraction.

Some of the eating establishments included in the festivities include French Market Restaurant, Mint Julep Bar, Harbour Galley, Royal Street Verandah, Cafe Orleans and the Blue Bayou Restaurant.The themed food will include Caribbean Breakfast Burritos, Calypso Caribbean Chicken Stew, Buccaneer Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Lost Treasure Beignets, Golden Churros and Jolly Roger Punch drinks served in limited edition Pirates of the Caribbean steins.
The anniversary celebration continues into the weekend, as Disneyland officials also announced pirate-themed entertainment that will take place throughout New Orleans Square with the help of characters like Bootstrappers and Lucky the Pirate.

In addition, fans of the long-running attraction will be able to purchase limited-edition anniversary merchandise, pirate-speak collectible cards and many other themed items throughout the park all weekend.
Pirates of the Caribbean was added to the Disneyland theme park on March 18, 1967, and has since seen similar attractions introduced at other Disney parks, including Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris and Shanghai Disney Resort.
For the inner pirate in all of us, this is an anniversary celebration you don’t want to miss.
