It's no secret that most travelers want to go somewhere warm and sunny for summer vacation.

Search data recently compiled by vacation exchange company RCI's nearly four million subscribing members reveals that between Memorial Day and Labor Day, travelers are most often interested in booking travel to beach destinations.

Here's a look at the top five most searched locations by destination, per RCI:

1. Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya areas of Mexico

2. Florida's Southern Atlantic Coast

3. Tenerife, Spain

4. Cancun, Mexico

5. Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina.

Mexico's Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya areas was the most searched destination at 9.1 percent, edging out Florida's Southern Atlantic Coast, which accounted for 7.7 percent of destination searches.

Tenerife, Spain was close behind at 7.2 percent, while Cancun and Myrtle Beach accounted for 5.5 and 5.4 percent of searches respectively.

And here's how the top five locations by specific city shook out, per RCI:

1. Orlando, Florida

2. Kissimmee, Florida

3. Malaga, Spain

4. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

5. Williamsburg, Virginia

The Theme Park Capital of the World, Orlando, was the most searched city by RCI subscribing members at 14.8 percent. Kissimmee, Florida, accounted for 11.3 percent of all city searches, which you could almost add to the total around the greater Orlando area. Despite rounding out the top five most searched cities, Malaga (4.5 percent), Punta Cana (4.2 percent) and Williamsburg (3.8 percent) each trailed Orlando and Kissimmee by a considerable margin.

Keep in mind that the data comes from RCI members searching for arrival dates between May 25, 2015 and Sept. 7, 2015.
