College is a wondrous time when questionable decisions nestle up daily with late-night cram sessions. It’s enough to make any studious traveler crave a quick weekend getaway.

Thankfully, online bus booking service Busbud scoured the Internet to bring you university students some idea of where you should go on your next road trip sojourn.

Entitled, “The Best Cities for a College Road Trip,” the study is just that. Budbud looked at sites like Airbnb, Yelp and Tripadvisor to see what cities offered the best deals in the form of accommodations, gas and beer – everything a growing person needs to be happy—and, because you are probably behind on that important paper that’s due tomorrow, we'll just go ahead let you know that San Antonio takes the top prize as the destination most enticing to college students.

Here is a breakdown of its results:

As noted, there are a wealth of considerations at hand, such as number of restaurants, the cost of a meal in the city as well as number of bars and attractions.

Busbud states: “San Antonio, Texas, is at the top of our list because of its hardcore music scene, unbelievable Tex-Mex, and pretty River Walk. It’s also where you’ll find the cheapest beer of any city we ranked.”

The blog also offers a snapshot of possible destinations in your respective region.

It’s understandable that you are short on time, so it thankfully breaks down some of the more enticing options in four separate areas with considerations across the board.

If you are in the west and want to bar hop for your break, you might want to head toward Los Angeles. If you want an overall versatile experience, then consider Las Vegas...but, depending on your ability to steer clear of the blackjack table, it may prove to be fairly expensive.

If you are roaming the south and just want cheap eats or cheap beer, then mark down Louisville and San Antonio for your impromptu road trip.

Let’s not forget Tulsa, which ranked high on Busbud’s study of cities that offers the most cost efficient options for things like gas and Airbnb accommodations.

Face it, chances are great that if you are working toward a degree you are also balling on a budget.

This doesn’t mean you have to remain dorm bound. You can certainly corral the crew and head on out of town for destinations that will cater to a student’s income.
