The Crazy Urban Adventures You Need to Try

You do not have to go far off into the bush to have a heart-pounding adventure. In fact, some of the most adrenaline-pumping activities are right in the heart of the city, reports Erin Gifford for Fox News.

“Fight your fears and get ready for once-in-a-lifetime, heart-racing experiences,” she says.

Take Dubai for example. Here visitors can sky dive right over the city.

“There are plenty of ways to enjoy Dubai's dramatic skyline, but jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet, then going into a 120 mph freefall before popping open your parachute may be the most adrenaline-inducing,” writes Gifford.

In you aren’t afraid of heights, head to Toronto’s CN Tower where, if you do the EdgeWalk, you can walk outside around the edge of the building, which is 1,200 feet above the ground.

“Look out for stunning views of the city skyline, as well as the Toronto Islands and the shoreline of Lake Ontario,” says Gifford.

Los Angeles has a brand new glass slide that is sure to both terrify and delight adventure enthusiasts.

“At 1,000 feet above downtown Los Angeles, just 1-and-a-quarter inches of glass keeps you from plummeting 70 floors at the U.S. Bank Tower. But don’t let that scare you. Enjoy the intense rush, as well as the incredible city views, as you glide along the newly installed 45-foot outdoor glass Skyslide,” Gifford says.
