It doesn't snow in Thailand, but locals now have the chance to experience the wintery weather by visiting the Snow Town theme park in Bangkok.
In a report from Becky Pemberton of the Daily Mail, Snow Town is an indoor Euro-Japanese-style snow theme park that offers guest the opportunity to experience the simulated sensation of snowfall and the activities that come with the weather.
Some of the snow-related activities visitors can enjoy include skiing, snowboarding, sledding, building a snowman, snowball fights and even making snow angels. While the park isn't as cold as real snow resorts, people are still able to rent traditional winter apparel to enjoy at the park, including snow boots, jackets, ear muffs, ski gear and more.
The theme park can be found on the fifth floor of the Gateway Ekamai shopping mall and covers around 3,300 square feet of retail space. Inside the park, the snow paradise features a giant snow playground surrounded by rows of houses that look like the historical town of Bruges, Belgium, but the houses are not just stage props.
Instead, the buildings are actually full-functional restaurants guests can visit. Add in an igloo-style ice house and artificial snow falling throughout the day, and this is a must-visit park for locals and tourists who want to experience snow in Thailand.
Visitors who enjoyed the park shared images from their experience on Twitter:
