The Volcano Bay water theme park is one of the most anticipated upcoming openings in the amusement park industry, and officials from Universal Orlando Resort announced tickets for the park will go on sale soon for visits starting on starting June 1, 2017.
Volcano Bay will be Universal Orlando's third theme park in the city, and the company announced Tuesday that it will feature 18 attractions meant to keep wait times to a minimum and not force guests to carry around water tubes.
While more details have been released, no opening date for the water park has been announced.

Construction on the facility is already underway, and Universal Orlando is heavily promoting the facility, including during the annual U.S. Travel Association's IPW convention. At the Universal booth, officials were heavily promoting the park, including a showcase of an updated map showing early concepts of the water park.
In addition to the new details about Volcano Bay, Universal Orlando officials also announced the July 14 opening date for the new Loews Sapphire Falls hotel, which will add 1,000 rooms to the company's inventory.
