If you’re a "Fast & Furious" movie series superfan, there's been a thrilling development. Universal Orlando Resort is adding a new attraction inspired by the movie in 2017.
The theme park announced Tuesday that the company would be opening a ride called Fast & Furious: Supercharged, similar to the attraction using the same name at Universal Studios Hollywood, which opened earlier this year.
The ride is unlike anything theme parks guests have ever experienced at Universal Orlando. Accompanied by actual footage of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson, passengers on the ride are transported into customized scenes that make people feel like they are part of the popular movies.
Using a completely unique storyline designed specifically for the attraction, guests travel around a specific route on a tour bus, but are then launched into a story that features underground racing, intense shoot-outs and enough high-speed chases featuring memorable cars from the movie series to thrill passengers of all ages.
Behind the Thrills on YouTube shared a video of Fast & Furious: Supercharged in Hollywood:
To make room for Fast & Furious: Supercharged, Universal Orlando will remove the current residents of the plot — Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue and its neighbor, Disaster: A Major Motion Picture Starring You. The Disaster attraction will be officially closed Sept. 8 and the Beetlejuice attraction will be shut down later this year, but a specific date has not been announced.
