National Parks are buzzing among travelers, so much so that for the third year in a row, the U.S National Parks broke its all-time visitors' record.

Summer may be the peak time for park attendance, but the beautiful scenery around you is well worth any wait or any size crowd you may encounter.

Yellowstone

Arguably the best National Park in the world, Yellowstone is nearly 3,500 square miles of pure beauty. Enjoy the famous geyser Old Faithful, as well as plenty of hot springs, mud pots, canyons, rivers and a rich forest filled with a wide array of animals. Most of the park is in Wyoming, but some parts spread out into Montana and Idaho. Travelers can also bike, boat, hike and fish throughout the park as well.

Grand Canyon

Truly a site to see, the Grand Canyon should be on every traveler's bucket list. See it by air with a helicopter tour, on the ground from one of its many vantage points or travel by the Colorado River. Either way, we're certain it'll leave you breathless and with several photos to help the memory last a lifetime.

Arches

Thanks to millions of years of sandstone erosion, we're blessed with the beauty that is the Arches National Park. There are over 2,000 natural stone arches in this 119-square mile park, the most famous being the 65-foot Delicate Arch. If you're ever lucky enough to go, you'll quickly see why it's labeled as a "red rock wonderland."

Great Smoky Mountains

A great destination for camping and hiking, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is home to a lush forest filled with a wide assortment of plant and animal life. Nestled on the border between North Carolina and Tennessee, get a feel for the old southern mountain life and go horseback riding or visit one of the 90-plus historic structures like houses, barns and churches located throughout the park.

Hawaii Volcanoes

Hawaii is, of course, an extremely popular vacation spot in the summertime. Next time you venture to the Aloha state, though, skip the beach for one day to discover how amazing Hawaii Volcanoes National Park truly is. With two active volcanoes, things are ever-changing here, which makes it all the more exciting. Be sure to check ahead before going to ensure any of the summits aren't closed due to storms.
