VisitBritain is celebrating equality and diversity with the launch of the “Love Is Great” campaign. It marks the 50th anniversary of the decriminalization of homosexuality in England and Wales.
Visitors will see and can take advantage of exhibits honoring the anniversary, including the Tate and the British Museum, which are honoring the 1967 Sexual Offences Act that decriminalized homosexual acts in England and Wales.
“From its vibrant cities brimming with culture and heritage to its stunning countryside and romantic retreats, Britain is packed full of incredible experiences that you can’t get anywhere else. This campaign is all about showcasing the sheer diversity of these amazing moments and that a warm welcome awaits you wherever you choose to go,” VisitBritain’s interim executive vice president Paul Gauger said in a statement.
