The answer to the question of what you get the National Park Service that has everything seems to be an adorable doodle.
As many of you know, Thursday, August 25, 2016 marks the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary, and its centennial has gone over splendidly with many around the Internet tipping their hats to some of this country’s most verdant and gorgeous landscapes.
Google is no different, devoting its Google Doodle on Thursday to the parks and its watershed moment of existence.
Here is the cute gesture that highlights some of the NPS’ more recognizable destinations with vivid animation:
The National Park Service itself has a brief video that should get you into the spirit as if you aren’t already donning birthday party hats:
To find out more how you can celebrate, such as visiting one of the over 400 recognized places, visit the official centennial page.
As the Google Doodle illustrates, this country is as versatile as it is beautiful—from babbling brooks to awe-inspiring waterfalls, this country has it all, and it’s all thanks to the National Park Service and its dedication to maintaining the sanctity of these lush and wondrous areas.
Until we can find a gift big enough to show our gratitude, perhaps the above doodle will suffice.
