While New Zealand may be known for hobbits and elves, Robb Report VIPs lived the country more like Ian Fleming’s favorite secret agent James Bond on a 10-day adventure in the country that include helicopter rides, private flights and amphibious vehicles.
“High-speed and exclusive forms of travel aside, the rest of the trip also aligned with the 007 lifestyle, since the itinerary was arranged by concierges at the Lodge at Kauri Cliffs, the Farm at Cape Kidnappers, and Matakauri Lodge—three world-class properties built by Julian Robertson, whose first visit to New Zealand in 1978 lasted an entire year,” says Robb Report.
The adventure began at Matakauri Lodge outside of Queenstown on the South Island, where the VIPs took in the Tukuko Glacier, Mitre Peak and did a river safari through Mount Aspiring National Park among other activities.

Next stop was Robertson’s Tiger Tour and a stay at the Farm at Cape Kidnappers. This was followed by the Kauri Cliffs, 170 miles north of Auckland, where there is world-class golf on the Pacific Ocean, the Waipoua Forest and luxury yacht sailing.
