What to See on the Campaign Trail: Ohio and Florida

Candidates are dividing their time between Florida and Ohio this week after wrapping up the Michigan and Mississippi primaries.
This next round of primaries is especially important to Republican candidates. It is likely the deciding moment in the campaign. If Donald Trump wins both Ohio and Florida, he is most likely going to get the nomination. If he loses either state, it’s unlikely any candidate will get to the required number of delegates before the convention. And no matter which side you are voting for, this is an exciting time to be a political tourist.
So here are some thoughts on where you should go along the campaign trail.
None of the bevvy of candidates who have turned out to run for president has been able to topple Donald Trump from his seat at the top of the delegate list. Ninety-nine delegates are at stake in the winner-take-all state of Florida. If you are a political tourist that means that Florida is where the action is.
And as luck would have it, Florida's primary election happens to coincide with Spring Break. Both parties will debate in Miami. The democrats take to the debate stage tonight for a Univision debate and the Republicans will debate on Thursday at the University of Miami.
If you are following the candidates, here are some cool things to do in Miami while you are in town – after you’ve had some beach time on its world-famous shoreline, of course.
At the Zoological Wildlife Foundation, you can get up-close and personal with some exotic animals. Visitors can feed giraffes, hangout with monkeys, cuddle with a tiger and more – you can even adopt an animal.

The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is very nearly the opposite of what you expect to see in Miami. The gorgeous gardens and estate home were inspired by palaces in Europe and include ornate interiors and exquisite gardens viewable on guided tours.
Go for an adventure in the Everglades. There are a number of boat tours of the Everglades available in Miami and they can be combined with tours of Biscayne Bay as well for a full-day excursion.
Miami is a mecca for art galleries and Wynwood Walls is one of the city's coolest art experiences. It is a giant display of street art across six separate buildings with art from some of the world’s most renowned street artists.
The candidates are sure to break for Ohio following their debates and, if you are hot on Donald’s campaign trail, you will be heading for Cleveland. Trump has planned to rally support at the IX Center the afternoon of March 12.
Both Democratic candidates will be on hand in Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday, March 13, for a town hall-style meeting at The Ohio State University.
If you are spending the weekend in Ohio with the candidates, here are some places to go in between rallies and events.
In Columbus, be sure to check out the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. It is sure to offer a little bit of peace and serenity in the otherwise chaotic world of politics.
Also in Columbus is Easton Town Center, a sprawling mecca to commerce boasting endless restaurants, shopping and a massive movie theater.
Definitely clear your schedule for some free time in Cleveland where you will not only find the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, but you should also check out the Cleveland Museum of Art, the USS Cod Submarine Memorial, Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, for starters.
