Where to Find the Best National Park Beaches

It’s Labor Day weekend, and that means it’s pretty much the last good beach weekend of the year for most of us.

The folks over at Conde Nast Traveler know that people have beaches on the brain and have highlighted some of our best national park beaches in the U.S.

First on the list is the gorgeous Virginia Islands National Park in St. John with a 675-foot underwater snorkeling trail in Trunk Bay that not only makes it cool, but truly unique.

Next is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan. Here, you sandboard straight into Lake Michigan.

Assateague Island National Seashore in Virginia is another stunner. Conde Nast Traveler loves it for its wild horses that roam free on the beach.

There’s also the beautiful Dry Tortugas National Park in Florida that is perfect for snorkeling but also has a cool 19th-century fort to explore.

Representing the West Coast is Olympic National Park in Washington for its tide pools, marine life and awesome hiking.
