Where to Find the World's Tallest Buildings

Imagine a building that is taller — in fact make that nearly two times taller — than One World Trade Center in New York City. Well, in 2020, that building will come to fruition.

Building up is the newest trend and the buildings just keep on getting higher. According to Chris Abell’s article in Travel + Leisure, the world’s tallest building right now clocks in at 2,717 feet and is — you guessed it — The Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Shanghai has the most buildings on the world’s tallest list for a city but China takes the cake for the most of any country. Trump makes T+L’s list at number 20 for his Chicago property and NYC makes the list with the world’s tallest “residential building” in the world and the sparkling One World Trade Center at a significant 1,776 feet high.
