Planning a vacation for 2016 starts well ahead of time, and Travelzoo Inc. is trying to help travelers from the United States by revealing the five destinations that will offer the best bang for the buck.
On Wednesday, Travelzoo—a global Internet media company— announced that its deal experts are predicting up to 60 percent savings for travel to Norway, Cuba, Puerto Vallarta, New York City and Canada.
Travelzoo Senior Editor Gabe Saglie released a statement, saying, “There are two common trends when it comes to travel deals in 2016 – increased inventory and the strong dollar. In New York and Puerto Vallarta, hotels have to fight for travelers' dollars. And the strong dollar is not only making international travel affordable to Canada, Norway and Cuba but also domestic destinations as Britons and Canadians pull back on visiting cities like New York.”
In addition to giving travelers confidence to book early, Travelzoo has also found the best deals to each of the top destinations to make it even easier to get away. Starting with Norway, there are flights from as low as $144 each way from New York to Oslo. With the country being an ideal layover on a trip deeper into Europe, Norway could be a great one-night adventure.
Another popular destination is Cuba. With diplomacy reigning supreme between the United States and its former enemy, Cuba has become an up-and-coming destination for Americans in 2016. With Cuban vacation packages starting as low as $1,599 with airfare, getting to the island nation before it potentially loses its untouched charm should be a top priority.
Add in unbeatable deals to Puerto Vallarta ($849 for a seven-night vacation with airfare,) New York City ($109 a night at NYC: Times Square Hotel) and Canada ($75 a night at Downtown Vancouver Hotel,) and there is no excuse not to get out and travel the world.
