Why just watch the movies and TV shows you love when you live in them - at least for a night or two? Several Airbnb hosts are taking advantage of the passion some fans have for their favorite TV shows or movie franchise by offering rentals that have a particular movie theme, or have actually been featured in a TV series. Here is a look at five of the best of these listings on Airbnb right now, and all the details you need before you rent one.

Deacon's House in Nashville

It's been a good year for "Nashville" fans. Not only was the series saved by CMT, but now the folks who own Deacon's house are renting it out. According to the Airbnb listing, fans are welcome to "come stay in the place Deacon calls home on the hit show 'Nashville'" for $449 a night. The price might seem a bit steep but what fan wouldn't want to sit on Deacon's porch and strum a guitar?

This bungalow is also in a great location, East Nashville, which is close to the city's best bars, restaurants and music venues. The house can accommodate up to 10 people so you can always split the bill with a few fellow "Nashville" fans, too!

Turtle Lair

In June, a listing for a New York City Turtle Lair popped up on Airbnb as part of a promotion for the latest TMNT film, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows." A stay in this turtle crash pad was listed at just $10, with a promise that the money would be returned at the end of each stay.

The dojo was fully loaded with "a glow in the dark basketball court, a retro arcade, more video games with a pretty sweet TV wall...anything for hanging ninja-style." Though the listing shows the unit is currently booked, it does suggest fans "follow @TMNTMovie for hints on when we're out of the Lair again so you can crash."

The Fixer Upper House

Chip and Joanna Gaines have turned dozens of neglected properties around Waco, TX into exquisite homes on their hit HGTV show "Fixer Upper.” Now, many of the homeowners who were featured on the series are taking advantage of their homes' fame by renting them out on Airbnb. Currently, there are at least six of the renovated homes listed, including this modern, mid-century dwelling. The owner's Airbnb listing boasts the home's expert remodel by Magnolia Homes, the Gaines' renovation property. It also states, "the home features a state of the art kitchen, beautiful patio, a gorgeous view of wooded ravine, and comfy beds w/ luxurious linens."

The house sleeps seven and is available for $295 a night. As for Chip and Joanna's feelings about their TV projects becoming nightly rentals, they're already working on revising the show's contracts. "We want to honor our national viewing audience. We want to do remodels for clients' homes. That's the true intent of our show, and we want to ensure that does not get lost in this new vacation rental trend," a spokesperson said.

Star Wars Bonita Domes

These earth dwellings aren't marketed as "Star Wars" themed vacation rentals on Airbnb, but fans of the franchise are flocking to them anyway. The two "Sleep Pod Earth Dome" structures at Bonita Domes Village in Joshua Tree, CA bear a striking resemblance to the structures on Luke Skywalker's home planet of Tatooine. For fans who can't make it to Tunisia, where the original "Star Wars" sets still exist, these dome homes are the next best thing.

The listing promises the site is "ideal for those who want to integrate themselves with nature for a rustic yet luxurious camp-like experience." Based on the description of the pod, it sounds like they're more rustic than luxurious. Each pod only includes a full size mattress, bedding and a solar powered ceiling light with shared bathroom facilities on site. But, at $85 a night, you can't beat the price.

Pirates of the Caribbean Guesthouse

One creative homeowner in Topanga Canyon, CA has turned his guest house into a "Pirates of the Caribbean" getaway complete with "waterfalls, ponds and a tropical themed environment." Masks, skulls, mood lighting and fire pits complete the "Pirates" decor. The vacation rental also has another claim to fame, it was featured in Cody Simpson's 2014 "Love" video. If you think this would be a fun place for a family to stay, think again. The rental is strictly adults only for safety reasons and only two people can stay on the property at a time. Oh, and make sure you leave Fido at home, too. The rental is available for one night, one week or on a monthly basis. Rates start at $95 a night.
