Another chapter in the sad saga that is Lamar Odom’s post-NBA spiral was written on Monday night.

According to TMZ, the former NBA star was on a Delta flight en route from Los Angeles to New York when things devolved into an utter mess.

The report states the 36-year-old vomited on the plane after a period of drinking whiskey and beer just before departure.

According to the report, Odom was seated in 4B in first class, preparing along with the rest of the passengers to leave for New York City.

TMZ states the plane pulled back, which is when Odom hurried for the bathroom. In total, he is purported to have vomited on his way to the bathroom and then again once inside the lavatory.

Odom was escorted form the plane only to return a while later. And this is when an odd story gets all the more astounding.

TMZ states: “Ten minutes later, Lamar suddenly reappeared and walked down the aisle -- with vomit still on his sweatpants -- and took his seat again. Minutes later, we're told Lamar got up and went back to the bathroom, using the heads of people in their seats to steady his balance.”

After some pleas from a passenger insinuating Odom’s past history with substance abuse the former athlete was escorted from the flight for the last time.

The rest of the passengers eventually made it to New York City – albeit 40 minutes late and shy one very inebriated passenger.

For those not familiar, Odom was hospitalized after a terrifying turn of events that played out last October at a Nevada brothel.

Odom eventually came away from that ordeal but is obviously still in need of help. US Weekly cites a source who states Odom in fact “flipped out and got depressed” just before leaving the lounge for his flight.
