If you are sleeping in a car, chances are great that something horrible has occurred in your life. Or, you may just be staying at an Airbnb in New York City.

The previous sentiment applies, we guess.

The New York Daily News’ Jason Molinet (h/t CNN) reports on a man named Jonathan who is renting out various vans by way of the popular service Airbnb.

His page currently has 53 reviews from those who have taken him up on his offer. We encourage you to pore over the page, because there are some gems such as, “Okay I really had a great time living in the van, but I think it is important for potential guests to realize that this really and truly is a van.”

So if you can’t wrap your head around voluntarily staying in an automobile in New York, during the summer, believe it. This is where the Airbnb revolution has led us.

PIX 11 covered the story as well:

As the report states, you can sleep in your car in New York City, so you don’t have to worry about a police officer tapping the window in the wee hours of the morning to see what you are up to.

No, the worries rest at discovering a toilet, shower and the moment that led to you sleeping in a van down by the river:

As the report states, renting out a van starts at $22 but does not include the amenity of driving around in whatever van you choose.

And these accommodations on wheels suit every occasion. One Airbnber named Ed proclaimed: “We enjoyed our stay in Jonathan's camper very much. The trip was for my girlfriend's birthday, and Jonathan was thoughtful enough to leave a card and gift for her. Super sweet of him. The camper is clean and cozy.”

We just wish we were around to hear the conversation when boyfriend told girlfriend that the birthday weekend would kick off in some van.

This once again proves that if you can stuff a human into it, chances are fantastic that someone will try to list the thing on Airbnb.

Next thing you know someone is going to rent out a small box and call it the “smallest house in the world.”

Oh, that already happened
