Azealia Banks Drops Homophobic Slur In Delta Altercation

Azealia Banks recently made the post-flight departure off a Delta plane at LAX a rather eventful experience.

The normal zombie-like waltz off the plane by passengers was interrupted as the rapper peppered the cabin with expletives and homophobic slurs.

TMZ reports: “A passenger sitting next to Banks tells TMZ, when the Delta flight landed just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, Azealia made a beeline for the front door. She had been sitting in seat 6A but a French couple in the 3rd row was blocking her exit as they pulled their luggage from the overhead bin.”

This is when a late-night flight full of presumed sleepyheads turned into a raucous event that pitted Banks against a couple of tourists and the flight staff.

According to the report, a witness relayed that when Banks tried to squeeze by the man who is purported to be French, he stuck out his hand.

TMZ continues: “Azealia, we're told, went nuts. The eyewitness says she spit in the man's face, punched him in the face and clawed at his shirt.”

The following video encapsulates the fracas and is SFW:

This next video is completely NSFW, and it includes the homophobic slur Banks chose to use before the video cuts off.

Banks took to Twitter to explain her side, stating that she was the victim in the altercation. Here is but a snapshot of the SFW tweets. First, she was so dismayed she felt the need to tweet out a marketing blast:

Banks’ side of the story differs from what witnesses told police officers. According to TMZ, “The eyewitness disputes Azealia's claim that the French man hit her in the face, insisting all he did was put his hand up for her to stop.”

As the report states, the tourist couple decided not to press charges, instead deciding to leave the airport with what is one unbelievable story.
