For one contingent of airplane passengers, tapping feet weren't a sign of frustration but rather of sudden jubilation.

Mashable directs our attention to the exploits of Haitian band Lakou Mizik, which saw a major delay as an opportunity to spread some frivolity amid great aggravation.

According to the report, a flight was delayed six hours at Chicago O’Hare Airport. This is hardly remarkable. Many of you are probably cringing remembering your own flight that was delayed an obscene number of hours.

What is noteworthy is what took place inside the cabin. Here is how it all went down thanks to a post from the band’s Facebook page:

The band is currently touring the states and has shows coming up in Massachusetts, Vermont and Montreal, via its website.

Now, this isn’t the first time the sweet sound of music has been employed to placate the frustrated masses.

We previously noted moments such as the time a Southwest attendant sang to passengers aboard one of its flights, and we will never forget back in 2015 when the casts of Aladdin and Lion King belted out brilliance at a LaGuardia gate:

Of course, music doesn’t get airplanes to their destinations any quicker. But it most certainly has a way of melting away that anxiety that comes with sitting for absurd durations of time.

Still, this just reminds us that all we ever get during a delay is the sudden fear that comes when we realize that Spotify is draining our battery.
