For the unfortunate souls relieving themselves at Monkey Bar in Berlin, dropping a deuce is a public affair.
The New York Daily News' Lee Moran writes, "Architects behind the Monkey Bar restaurant at the 25 Hours Hotel Bikini in Berlin bizarrely placed the toilets right next to floor-to-ceiling windows."
Oops.
That's right, friends. Deep in the heart of Germany there are patrons who literally have to decide whether the pain from five beers, and schnitzel, is enough to deal with the public humiliation that comes from being photographed at one's most vulnerable.
I don't know about you, but this isn't when I am at my most photogenic.
Metro reports on the news that only seems too weird to be true, stating owners aren't all that vexed by offering an unwanted peep show to the streets below the tenth story restaurant.
According to the report, there is now a sign outside the restrooms that reads, "Please be careful, not only the monkeys are watching." We see; so subjecting your customers to unwanted shame is both adorable and hilarious.
For those of you visiting the commode, concerned about the state of your bath mats or the color of your aging tile, rest easy. At least you don't have passersby including you in their travel selfies.
