If you can hit the right note or dance the right steps then you could be trotting the globe while entertaining travelers.

Via a press release, Carnival is throwing one gigantic casting call at the moment, looking for the kind of talent that will infuse its cruise with vitality and frivolity.

The release states: “Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), the world's largest leisure travel company, today announced its German-based AIDA Cruises brand is planning a series of worldwide auditions in search of the 570 entertainers needed for the 24 stages on its 10 cruise ships.”

Now if you have loads of talent or just think that you do, then visit AIDA’s Casting Call website for more information on dates, locations and times.

Now this is a worldwide initiative. Here are the locations as listed in the press release:

    London, February 1-3

    Amsterdam, February 29-March 1

    Hamburg, Germany, March 7-8

    Gothenburg, Sweden, March 14-15

    Stockholm, Sweden, March 16-17

    Kiev, Ukraine, April 16-17

    Los Angeles, April 21-22

    New York, April 25-27

    Copenhagen, Denmark, May 9-10

    London, June 6-8

As for specifics, you must be able to speak English and, if your act dictates it, be able to sing in German—at least moderately well.

The release maintains that singers aren’t mandated to know German, but they must be able to sing a few German songs, so practice well before the audition.

Head of AIDA’s casting, Christoph Süsens, explains what they are looking for: “In addition to a first-class dance and artist ensemble, we are looking for excellent rock, pop and musical singers whose talents will thrill our guests every day at our exclusive and innovative shows. Our performers must be able to not only sing and dance, they must also be consummate entertainers who will instantly spellbind audiences with their expressiveness and charm.”

If you have the chops, Europe can be yours. Just bone up on your classic German tunes first.
