Celebrate 'Top Gear's' Return With 12 Top Road Trips

There is no better time than right now to gas up the car, throw some bags in the trunk, fill the backseat with snacks and hit the open road.

The folks over at Expedia were so inspired by the fact that we are about to witness a new iteration of “Top Gear” shortly,  they put together an interactive guide to the ultimate road trips.

It’s aptly entitled Top Road Trips.

If you need some inspiration, here is the trailer for the “Top Gear” reboot with hosts Chris Evans, Matt LeBlanc and more.

Now you have the proper motivation to head over to the interactive website which takes into account various crucial details like car rental and fuel costs for a particular adventure.

Now there are those trips that might placate the novice, such as traveling from Las Vegas to Calexico.

Spending just under nine hours in the car is just enough to get the road trip bug out of your system.

And it’s nice to start in Las Vegas with stops in Los Angeles and San Diego. However, there are some more exotic trips you may just want to add to the ol’ bucket list.

A journey from Ho Chi Minh to Halong Bay in Vietnam is both enticing and daunting.

But really, the list has something for everybody in all parts of the road-tripping world. Those of you who fancy yourself gear heads now have your veritable gauntlet.
