The moment the flight attendant or captain takes the mic to regale passengers with in-flight announcements is the second we all tune out. That wouldn’t be the case if we ever heard the following come across the speakers.

What follows (h/t Huffington Post) are our favorite tweets from a hashtag started by Comedy Central’s “@midnight,” which stars Chris Hardwick and a revolving cast of comedians.

As we see, it’s really rather simple to play along with #BadInFlightAnnouncements.

Just consider the one thing that would turn a normally boring flight into an adrenaline-inducing ride of horror.

We will let “@midnight” start things out:

Now here is a sampling of what fans came up with:

That’s just a few, but we thought it would be fun to offer some of our own.

• Ladies and gentlemen, please refrain from leaving your seat. The snakes hate that.

• Welcome aboard. We will start the complimentary live polka music momentarily.

• This is your captain speaking. This announcement will be short because I feel the Xanax kicking in.

• Captain again, the fuel light came on, but we can totally go forever on this reserve tank.

Now we encourage you to get in on the fun and blast out your own horrible in-flight announcements.

The only limitations seem to be your own imagination.
