The going rate for defacement of a beloved hunk of rock in Sedona, Arizona is $1,000.
That's the word from Mashable, which reports singer and "Grease: Live" star Vanessa Hudgens had to pay that amount after defacing property in February.
For those a bit late to the party, we reported earlier in the year that Hudgens and boyfriend Austin Butler were in Sedona for Valentine's Day.
The holiday and the unbelievable scenery motivated the young couple to etch a missive into the surrounding rock.
Local anchor Danielle Lerner thankfully archived what the note looked like.
At the time, it was reported the penalty for such a transgression was a fine in upwards of $5,000 or six months in jail.
That's a scary possibility for anyone who feels they are just reveling in love with a few scrapes into a nearby rock.
That blunder, we now know, has cost Hudgens $1,000.

However, it's a nice reminder of how expensive a similar mistake might cost you fellow travelers.
We didn't all star in a live presentation of Grease, so keep your artistic displays of love to yourself. It's far less expensive that way.
