Couple Gets Married in Front of Litchfield Haunted House

Sounds like love at first fright.
According to a report from The Associated Press, Melissa Cote and Tom Cowern, both employees at Spookyworld’s Nightmare New England in Litchfield, New Hampshire, decided that the perfect place for a pre-Halloween wedding ceremony would be in front of the haunted house.
Cote wore a traditional white wedding dress with a black sash, and Cowern wore a classic tuxedo with a top hat. It was noted that Cowern was the first actor hired by the haunted attraction eight years ago.
While the bride and groom kept it as close to traditional as possible with their appearances, the bridal party dressed for the occasion. As if a flower girl dressed like a skeleton and the bridesmaids adorned in black dresses weren’t enough, Cote’s father portrayed popular movie character Beetlejuice for the festivities.
MSN UK Lifestyle and U.S. News shared images of the haunted ceremony:
According to the report from The AP, the justice of the peace presiding over the ceremony told the bride and groom to “haunt and howl at the moon together as long as you shall live,” and “to have and to hold from this night on, in madness and in haunting fun.”
The couple has the typical fairytale love story, too. Cote first was introduced to Cowern at the attraction when he scared her during the haunt. The two later met outside of work, and Cowern confirmed that he was the one who had scared her before.
