Delta May Know Something About the NBA Finals We Don’t

Sorry, LeBron. If one of the biggest airlines in the world can be believed, this is not the year you’ll be bringing a championship to Believeland.
In what is either an errant keystroke or the result of some sort of “Back To The Future II” sports almanac scenario, Delta’s on-board entertainment options recently included something a little surprising along with episodes of “Fear The Walking Dead.”
What it included was a caption aimed at the Golden State Warriors congratulating them on their 2016 NBA Championship.
We were alerted to this particular feat of clairvoyance by TravelPulse Editor in Chief Tim Wood, who tweeted the following:
For those of you who aren’t sports fans, we should tell you why that’s problematic: the NBA Finals are still happening. And while the Warriors did take Game 1 in commanding fashion against the Cleveland Cavaliers, it’s still a little premature to count out LeBron and co.
Now Golden State were in fact the 2014-2015 champs, as the graphic states, so there's a fair to middling chance this is just a simple typo. But we still like to think Delta might just know something we don’t, and look forward to seeing how they can help us out with our NCAA bracket next year.
