Elephant Selfies and Mankini Ban Lead Wild Week in Travel
Image via Instagram
We now live in a world where elephants take selfies, owls feature in cafes and mankinis have been banned.
Now not to worry, gentleman with no sense of beach style, the slingshot bikini has only been banned in a tucked-away portion of England.
But there does seem to be an overall animal revolution when it comes to travel news, and we are here to recap it with another wonderful weekly roundup.
Now please let us know if there were amazingly outrageous stories we failed to cover. And as you will soon see, the wackier the better.
She’s Got Moves:
Normally a beatboxer with the talent of Power Beat would be the headliner for a street performance such as this.
However, normally we aren’t treated to the kind of exuberant dancing laid down by this funky lady who is cutting a rug in Brussels.
Hoot of a Café:
Stu in Tokyo was once again traveling around Tokyo, showing his YouTube audience the less-traveled portions of the city.
In this episode we discover the grandeur that is an all-you-can-drink coffee spot that is filled with owls.
Once again Japan proves to have a safe haven for even the most peculiar of interests.
Down with the Mankini:
When life hands you a bunch of anti-social behavior you ban mankinis.
Coming out of Newquay, England, is the week’s most outrageous headline as the area’s ban of the slingshot bikini has helped to drastically reduce crime.
Animals Become Self-Portrait Aware:
We have a winner for best selfie of the week, and it comes with a rather photogenic elephant.
TravelPulse’s Donald Wood spotted the one entity on the planet that comes with a built-in selfie stick. Thanks to some GoPro thievery, this elephant provides us with the perfect finale for what was an already wonderful week in travel.
