According to just about everyone, including those in Las Vegas, the United Kingdom and Ireland house the best accents in the world.
But could you actually pinpoint where some of the most iconic speech patterns originate?
Expedia UK offers the following entertaining game that is right up the alley of any accent enthusiast or anglophile.
It's called the Accent Map of the British Isles, and it's afforded the website the opportunity to offer a spotlight to the most recognizable accent of the bunch.
According to a press release, officials have been monitoring this very map and the results of every game played.

As Internet travelers scour the map and guess what accent is from what region, Expedia UK has sat behind the scenes to gather speech-centric results.
As it turns out, there is absolutely no mistaking someone who was born and raised in Glasgow. Their accent is truly iconic.
The website utilized a whopping 1,000,000 guesses, which came from travelers from 200 countries.
What they found was Glasgow was the most recognizable of the presented accents as 78 percent of respondents correctly answered with its distinctive sound.
Folks from Birmingham, sorry. You're accent is a hard nut to crack at a rate of just 31 percent.
