Germany Noticed the World Was Bereft of Funky, LED Water Slides

Little did we know that water slides, those awesome conveyances of gravity and liquid, could actually be improved.

That seems to be the case in Germany where officials have taken something I previously considered perfect and dialed it up to 11.

First, a doff of the cap to Metro’s Daisy May Sitch who spotted the following video lurking over on YouTube on the tuberides1 channel.

At first glance this is just an extremely cool video that shows a creative way to get from Point A to Point B.

But, from a far more depressing vantage, it’s also proof that we have been riding in seriously inferior water slides our entire lives.

If you were wondering, you have indeed seen something like this before. We imagine the artists working in bolts and fiberglass were also fans of Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan.

The report states that those interested in a disco-themed water slide can head to the Bad 1 leisure center in Bremerhaven, Germany.

We can try and be content with the slides we encounter through the rest of the summer, but that’s as futile as trying to taste chocolate again for the first time or looking upon the sun with infant eyes.

While we will certainly take the leap and slide down these attractions, we won’t be nearly as happy as those in Bremerhaven.
