Good Luck Finding The Louvre Pyramid After This Art Illusion

It’s not possible to make a pyramid disappear with the flick of a wand, but you can create a stunning optical illusion if you have the time.
Fox News reports a French artist who goes by the name of JR has made the iconic Louvre Pyramid disappear.
Obviously, the Louvre Pyramid remains and continues to be quite visible, putting a rather large question on our collective understanding of the word disappear.
However, there is no question that JR has created something stunning, an art installation that alters the very vantage of the area outside the famed museum.
Thankfully, the following video gives us a glimpse of the illusion that incorporates an image of the surrounding architecture to mask the giant pyramid.
JR explains: “It was the only way to make it disappear, by playing with the architecture. From one point making it completely disappear like a magician, but then making it look different from other points of view.”
Indeed, you can get up close to see what amounts to giant black and white spots. But take a few steps back and you are greeted by a wondrous feat of artistry.
And this is but a temporary view, because the photo opportunity will be up until June 27, so make sure you take as many selfies as you can if you’re in the area.
