Exorbitant hair gel user Guy Fieri is expanding his presence on Carnival Cruise lines with a delicious dive into the world of barbecue.
According to Cruise Critic's Colleen McDaniel, not only will you soon get the chance to enjoy succulent BBQ, but it will come thanks to a thoroughly tested and innovative smoker that will live on the ship.
As the report states, passengers have already sampled and enjoyed Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse on the Carnival Magic.
Now the normally land-relegated fare will hit the Carnival Vista, Carnival Dream and Carnival Breeze.
If you have upcoming trips on those lines the time frame will vary: the smokehouse will debut along with the Vista in November while the Dream and Breeze will have to wait until next year.
The interesting part in all this, aside from having a barbecue option, is that the food is promised to be smoked - something you wouldn't expect alongside a floating pile of tourists and ship material.
McDaniel writes, "Fieri said the smoker was specially designed for the ship and had to go through an extensive three-month approval process."

News from the media event also offered a spotlight on Carnival's treasure trove of delicious brew that now numbers at 50 different beers across its various ships.
As for the Pig & Anchor, you can expect things like sausage, chicken and pulled pork. Ribs will be an unfortunate exclusion and the likes of brisket don't seem to be mentioned.
But really, you are getting carefully smoked meat on a luxurious cruise, so perhaps you pencil in your immersive barbecue experience when you plan that road trip through the south.
Fieri had some kind words for cruising in general. McDaniel states the Food Network star was skeptical about the prospect.
But then the energetic host of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" proclaimed, "For a guy who gets bored easily, I wasn't bored."
As noted, there is already a heavy Fieri presence across Carnival offerings in the form of Guy's Burger Joint. Now you have another option when you get a hankering for the juicy, smoke-kissed meal that comes with barbecue infused with hickory and cherry wood flavor.
Thankfully, this affords you the perfect opportunity to slip into a food-induced coma by the pool.
