Harrison Ford, the star who has played such iconic characters as Indiana Jones and Han Solo, has crashed his plane at a Venice golf course in California.
CBS Los Angeles reports at about 2:24 p.m. local time on Thursday a vintage plane crashed at Penmar Golf Course, which is located close to Santa Monica Airport.
TMZ’s report issued that the one person in the plane was the 72-year-old Ford: “We're told Ford suffered multiple gashes to his head and was bleeding. Two doctors who happened to be at the golf course rushed over to treat the actor.”
Details are forthcoming. However, Local NBC4 LA’s television coverage purported that two doctors happened to be at the golf course at the time and attended to the victim at the scene.
Images from the crash peppered a very concerned Twitter collective on Thursday afternoon:
While details continue to stream from various sources, NBC4’s television coverage shows the plane came to a stop at the far corner of Penmar Golf Course closest to the airport with the nose of the airplane facing the runway.
